Singleness of Purpose

“You can have anything you want if you want it badly enough. You can be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.” ~Abraham Lincoln

A singleness of purpose is rare and it’s rare because it’s hard, BUT it’s also irresistible, at least according to the 16th President of the United States. Honest Abe said that we could do anything we set our minds to if we had a singleness of purpose – if nothing else ever became more important.

Well, I’m a fan of Mr. Lincoln and I’ll take him at his word. So let’s not allow any other purpose to become more important. Let’s keep our eye on the ball and see what happens. And IF along the way we stumble, fumble, or fall,… we’ll employ another great quote by the great American President:

“I am not concerned that you have fallen — I am concerned that you arise.”
