Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. spoke many words on many topics and I think these are particularly relevant to any of us on a challenging journey.
Whether it’s a resolution for the new year or not, there is no time like the present. The best time is now. Here’s how MLK put it:
“The time is always right to do what is right.”
And even if you aren’t certain that you’re really ready, let’s conquer uncertainty or fear and take that first step:
“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
And if our journey isn’t perfect – if we stumble or fall – MLK reminds us of this:
“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.”
Wise words, true words, so let’s get moving, keep moving, get up and get on with it. We have places to go and freedom to reclaim!
