“Feeling and Facts”

“Feeling and Facts”

I think sometimes what keep us from moving forward is a disconnect between our heads and our hearts or, in other words – our feelings and the facts. Whether we’re talking about managing our weight, quitting smoking, getting to the gym more often, or any other worthy goal, our head knows there are plenty of good reasons to make the change. But we have feelings which can stand in the way.

It isn’t always easy to figure out what the feelings are, but with a little mindfulness and a lot of practice, we can get in touch with some of the obvious feelings and even some of the deeper feelings which can make change so hard.

One final caution, though – be certain that the “facts” you “know” are really sound. Having a sounding board or someone to talk with about the change you want to make and your reasons, can really make a difference!
