Let’s be wise and be sure we’re staying properly hydrated in this warmer weather. Cooling off your “insides” with plenty of cool water will allow all of your body’s systems to work better. And if you think water is boring, toss a few slices of citrus and/or sprigs of fresh mint into a pitcher with lots of ice and your mouth won’t feel bored at all! Some folks like cucumber slices or a few fresh or frozen berries in their water. I toss some frozen mango chunks and a hint of mint into water or seltzer.
If you haven’t already, it’s definitely time to get your water game on! Pushing the fluids helps with detoxifying, gives our hands and mouth something to do, enhances lots of bodily functions, is low in calories, and especially on a day like today keeps you cool. (I actually think you’re already cool, but I’m biased.)
