Before The Sun Goes Down

It’s a #DoubleDogDare, so you really don’t have a choice, do you? 😉

Today, before the sun goes down, your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to express gratitude for no less than three new things. By “new” things, I mean that if every day you say a prayer of gratitude for your friends and family (which is great!) you cannot use friends or family as your three for today. OK?

Let’s honestly look around our world and see new reasons to be grateful today – maybe big things, maybe little ones. If you’re having a hard time finding three, take a moment and quiet yourself. Put down the phone, take a few slow, deep breaths, close your eyes (if you aren’t driving!) and see what comes to mind.

For grateful over-achievers, here’s the EXTRA CREDIT assignment: Let your gratitude “infect” someone nearby today. Out of your abundance of gratitude, do something selfless for a neighbor or a stranger. Maybe you’ll see the smile and maybe you won’t, but either way you can know that the world is a tiny bit better, because you spread your gratitude.

Have an awesome day!
