Remember the words of a beloved clown:
“You’ll never find a rainbow if you’re looking down.”
-Charlie Chaplin
Of course you can literally look “up” (skyward) or you can try to look “up” (cheerful.)
I think there is value in both. Looking skyward can help us get a ‘big picture’ perspective and remind us that whatever is going on will – like the weather – change. And if we decide to look “up” by wearing a grin when it’s a bit of an effort, and look for positive things to do and say, we will find ourselves actually feeling “up” too!
Stay safe today, stay positive, and keep looking up because things ARE looking up. Just watch!
And if you need a little EXTRA help looking up today, might I suggest a ‘dose’ of Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, and the Electric Light Orchestra’s “Mister Blue Sky.”
You’re welcome!
