Simple

Meditation and mindfulness are both wildly popular and widely misunderstood. While I am not an expert on the subject, I have personally reaped great benefits from a daily discipline in the past. But I became complacent and wandered away from my practice. For reasons that remain a puzzle to me, I have been slow to return to the daily practice. (Maybe once I return, I’ll become more aware.)

Don’t Overthink It

I think that many of us overthink when we try to meditate. I think some of us make meditation and mindfulness more mysterious than they need to be. I think people misunderstand what meditation is and may consider it to be somehow contrary to their spiritual beliefs. Mediation is not a religious practice. We are not “opening ourselves up to power” except the power of our own consciousness. I believe that you will benefit from meditation and becoming more mindful. I encourage you to practice regularly. Give yourself time to see the benefits.

Give These a Try

I’m sharing a few videos that are charmingly simple. I do not claim any right to these clever videos. I simply want to share them in one place that easy to find for some people I care about. Happify makes lots of these wonderful short videos. More Happify videos can be found at the Twill YouTube page. Please explore more videos by these clever folks at their websites or on YouTube. They deserve your attention (and no, they don’t pay me to say nice things about them.) My hope is that these videos will help each of you find your own path to a rewarding meditation practice.

    1. It sure is hard! And that’s why we remind folks they don’t need to do it alone. Illness begins with “I,” but wellness begins with WE! Please come join our “We!” Thanks for taking good care of you. I hope we see you soon!
